Energizing Spirulina Smoothie: A Superfood Boost in Minutes

RECIPE: SPIRULINA POWER SMOOTHIE (NO BLENDER REQUIRED!)

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 cup cold plant-based milk or dairy milk
  • 1/2 banana (mashed if no blender)
  • 1 tbsp nut butter or yogurt (for creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base
    • In a jar, shaker bottle, or blender, add 1 cup cold plant-based or dairy milk and 1 tsp spirulina powder.
    • Shake or stir well until fully combined.
  2. Add the fruit
    • Mash 1/2 banana in a bowl until smooth if not using a blender.
    • If blending, simply add the banana to the mixture.
  3. Mix in the extras!
    • Stir in 1 tbsp of nut butter or yogurt for creaminess.
    • Add 1 tsp honey or maple syrup for sweetness (optional).
  4. Blend or shake
    • With a blender: Blend until smooth.
    • Without a blender: Stir vigorously or shake in a sealed container until fully mixed.
  5. Serve and enjoy
    • Drink immediately or chill for a refreshing taste.
    • If stored, give it a good shake or stir before drinking.

Serving Suggestions: Top with chia seeds, blueberries or granola for texture.
