RECIPE: SPIRULINA POWER SMOOTHIE (NO BLENDER REQUIRED!)
Ingredients
- 1 tsp spirulina powder
- 1 cup cold plant-based milk or dairy milk
- 1/2 banana (mashed if no blender)
- 1 tbsp nut butter or yogurt (for creaminess)
Instructions
- Prepare the base
- In a jar, shaker bottle, or blender, add 1 cup cold plant-based or dairy milk and 1 tsp spirulina powder.
- Shake or stir well until fully combined.
- Add the fruit
- Mash 1/2 banana in a bowl until smooth if not using a blender.
- If blending, simply add the banana to the mixture.
- Mix in the extras!
- Stir in 1 tbsp of nut butter or yogurt for creaminess.
- Add 1 tsp honey or maple syrup for sweetness (optional).
- Blend or shake
- With a blender: Blend until smooth.
- Without a blender: Stir vigorously or shake in a sealed container until fully mixed.
- Serve and enjoy
- Drink immediately or chill for a refreshing taste.
- If stored, give it a good shake or stir before drinking.
Serving Suggestions: Top with chia seeds, blueberries or granola for texture.
