Every year in the third week of April, we celebrate National Volunteer Week and the impact that volunteers make on our communities. This year’s theme is all about how volunteering connects us and weaves us together for a greater cause.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to experience interconnectedness with one another and find a sense of belonging while working towards a common goal. And if you’re looking for a way to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to volunteer with Quest Food Exchange.
Why volunteer with Quest?
At Quest, our volunteers play a crucial role in helping us achieve our food rescue commitment to support families and individuals facing economic barriers. Our mission is to provide a grocery experience based on dignity, access, and sustainability principles, and our volunteers are critical in helping us succeed in that mission.
We’re proud of our grocery model that supports the community while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Almost all of our food is donated by local partners within British Columbia and delivered across our five Lower Mainland markets at a reduced cost to our client communities.
Benefits of volunteering
But it’s not just about making a difference in the community – volunteering can also have a positive impact on your own well-being. By volunteering with Quest, you can find a sense of community, purpose, and make connections with others. Plus, you’ll stay both physically and mentally active, develop new skills, and boost your self-esteem. And let’s not forget – volunteering can bring enjoyment into your life and increase happiness!
So, what are you waiting for? Join us in making a difference and volunteer with Quest today.
